Andhra Pradesh – Rs 100 crore to Scientists for Nobel Prize
AP government has announced that it will give scientists of the state to Rs 100 crore for Nobel Prize. This reward is about 17 times more than the prize money given out with the Nobel award, which is about Rs 5.96 crore.

Assam BioTech Conclave in Guwahati
The Assam Biotech Conclave 2017 started in Guwahati which was organized by the Guwahati Biotech Park in association with Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region.
Guwahati Biotech Park is also organizing a contest entitled “Talent Search Contest on Innovative Biotechnology Entrepreneurial Ideas”.
The shortlisted participants will present their proposals and the best proposals will be awarded.

NASA’s 2 missions
NASA will starts a two missions known as the Lucy and Psyche, to study the Jupiter’s mysterious Trojan asteroids and unique metal asteroid with the goal of launching in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
Lucy, a robotic spacecraft will visit a target-rich environment of Jupiter’s mysterious Trojan asteroids is scheduled for October 2021 launch.
It is slated to arrive at its first destination, a main belt asteroid, in 2025. From 2027 to 2033, Lucy will explore six Jupiter Trojan asteroids.
The mission will help scientists understand how planets and other bodies separated into their layers – including cores, mantles and crusts – early in their histories.
Psyche, is a robotic mission, is targeted to launch in October of 2023, arriving at the asteroid in 2030, following an Earth gravity assist spacecraft maneuvre in 2024 and a Mars flyby in 2025.

Island Tourism Festival 2017 – Andaman and Nicobar
10-day Island Tourism Festival 2017 at Port Blair in Andaman & Nicobar Islands was started.
In this festival, the Islanders performing the cultural events to renew their cultural ties with mainland India.
A band of artists from the mainland has also performed during the festival at North & Middle Andaman and also at Nicobar Group of Islands.
