Missing Numbers:

Inserting the missing character is filling up of the empty spaces in number puzzles given in pictorial forms.

Number Puzzles:

In such type of problems, some numbers are arranged in a certain pattern, which can follow the rule of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, squaring or cubing of consecutive numbers etc. Based on these different operations we have to find the missing number in the given problems.

Example:                                                                                 (Assistant Statistical Investigator – 2015)

Find the missing number?

A) 51 B) 57 C) 58                    D) 53

Soln. B) 57

In the first figure, 72 – 42 = 49-16 = 33

In the second figure, 82 – 52 = 64-25 = 39

In the third figure, 92 – 62 = 81-36 = 45

Therefore, in the fourth figure, 112 – 82 = 121 – 64 =57
