How to get a TOP RANK in TNPSC Group 2 & 2A Exam?

Group 2 & 2A Exam Process & Selection:

It is very important to note that, TNPSC Group 2 & 2A has Prelims, Mains and an Interview (Oral Test – Only for Group 2 Posts).

Step 1: Aspirants writes PRELIMS Exams – (Objective Type).

Step 2: Those who cleared Prelims exam will be called for MAINS Exam.

Step 3: Those who cleared Mains exam will be called for Interview (Oral Test).

The final selection is based on the total marks obtained in MAINS and ORAL TEST. Note that, the PRELIMS marks is only used for calling aspirants to MAINS. The Prelims marks is not needed for final selection. The Final marks for Group 2A posts will be based on MAINS Exam alone as there is no Interview for Group 2A Posts.

Group 2 and 2A exam has one Optional Paper as General Tamil/General English in Prelims Exam. Choose your Option correctly to score higher cut off in Group 2 and 2A Prelims Exam.

The Optional Paper (General English or General Tamil) HAS BEEN REMOVED IN THE LATEST SYLLABUS OF GROUP 2 & 2A EXAM.

TNPSC Group 2 & 2A Exam Pattern:

PRELIMS :

Exam: Objective Type;  Questions : 200 ;   Total Marks: 300 ; Total Time : 3 Hrs ;

General Studies                               – 175 Questions

Aptitude & Mental Ability             –  25 Questions

Total                                                –  200 Questions 

Note: Aptitude and Mental ability will be combined with General Studies itself. Hence, the GS   paper will have 200 questions in total.
