National Events:

AIIMS & IIT Jodhpur:

  • IIT Jodhpur has collaborated with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS ) , Jodhpur . They will offer Master’s , Master’s – PhD and PhD programmes in medical technologies .
  • This is the first programme in India that provides an opportunity to medical professionals and engineers to learn and share knowledge under a trans – disciplinary academic umbrella .

 

Ather Energy & SBI:

  • Ather Energy has partnered with State Bank of India to provide customers with vehicle financing . As part of the association , Ather Energy customers will get instant loans at interest rates as low as 9.55 percent per annum .
  • SBI will offer the vehicle loans on their YONO mobile application as well as at their branch network.

 

Country’s first electronic – display plant:

  • Rajesh Exports has agreed to invest $ 3 billion in Telangana to set up the country’s first electronic – display plant . It is making the investment through Elest , a unit it incorporated for diversifying into making products such as displays and electric vehicles .
  • The company has qualified for incentives under a $ 2.4 billion federal government scheme for battery manufacturing in India .

 

NeSDA 2021:

  • Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh released the 2nd edition of the National e – Governance Service Delivery Assessment 2021 ( NeSDA 2021 ) on 13 June 2022 .
  • The NeSDA 2021 report has been prepared covering the assessment of States , Union Territories with a focus on Central Ministries on their effectiveness in delivering online services to citizens .
  • NeSDA 2021 covers services across seven sectors .

 

Kuno – Palpur National Park:

  • The government is set to introduce cheetahs from South Africa in Kuno – Palpur National Park in Madhya Pradesh by August 2022 . It is being done as part of attempts to rehabilitate the species that had become extinct from the country .
  • The government plans to introduce 8-10 cheetahs every year from South Africa . In 1952 , the Indian Government declared Cheetah extinct in the country .

 

Ananth Technologies & Antaris:

  • Indian aerospace solutions provider Ananth Technologies and US – based satellite software solutions provider Antaris have announced partnership for the development & launch of advanced small satellites for various use cases .
  • The first satellite will be launched in September 2022 . On 1 June 2022 , Ananth Tech also opened India’s largest private spacecraft manufacturing facility in Bengaluru .

 

PIDS:

  • In a circular , the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security ( BCAS ) said that all ” hyper – sensitive ” airports in the country will have to install a Perimeter Intrusion Detection System ( PIDS ) by December 2023 .
  • PIDS is a sensor that helps alert security agencies of any intrusion through the boundary walls of the airport . The BCAS is the apex body of aviation security in the country .

 

International Events:

International Albinism Awareness Day : 13 June:

  • The International Albinism Awareness Day ( IAAD ) is annually observed on June 13 . It represents the importance and celebration of human rights of people with albinism .
  • Albinism is a non – contagious , genetically inherited ailment that results in the lack of melanin in the skin , eyes and hair .The theme for 2022 is “ United in making our voice heard” . The day was first observed in 2015 .

 

North Korea:

  • North Korea has appointed veteran diplomat Choe Son – hui as its first female foreign minister .
  • Choe has formerly served as North Korea’s vice foreign minister . North Korea is a country in East Asia . North Korea Capital – Pyongyang.

 

World’s second – longest reigning monarch:

  • Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II on 12 June 2022 became the world’s second – longest reigning monarch in history , after France’s Louis XIV . She overtaken Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej , who reigned for 70 years and 126 days .
  • She was crowned in 1953 & is 96 years old . Louis XIV of France remains the longest – reigning monarch , with a 72 – year and 110 – day reign from 1643 until 1715 .

 

 

IMF:

  • India’s Krishna Srinivasan has been appointed as the director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund .
  • IMF founded – 27 December 1945 . IMF Headquarters – Washington , D.C. ( U.S ).

 

Sports Events:

IWF Youth World Championships:

  • Indian weightlifter Saanapathi Gurunaidu won gold medal in men’s 55 – kilogram event at the IWF Youth World Championships in Leon , Mexico on 12 June 2022 .
  • Vijay Prajapati and Akansha Kishor Vyavhare clinched silver medals on the opening day . Saanapathi lifted 104 kilogram in Snatch winning Silver while 126 kilogram lifting in Clean and Jerk to finish on the top to grab the Gold medal .

 

FIFAe:

  • India qualified for the FIFAe Nations Cup ( FeNC ) 2022 for the first time ever on 11 June 2022 by defeating Korea Republic and Malaysia in Nation Series 2022 playoffs .
  • India will join 23 other nations to compete at FIFA 22 Esports from July 26 to 30 , 2022 in Copenhagen , Denmark .
  • It will be Organized and conducted by EA Sports. The FeNC is one of 3 major esports events that are held on a worldwide scale .
