TNPSC Age Eligibility - வயது வரம்பு | Maximum and Minimum Age

NOTE: The Maximum age limit for all posts have been increased two times one in 2018 (for two years) & another one time in 2021 (for two years due to COVID). The below maximum age limit are the current official available maximum age limit for each categories or posts.

GROUP 1:

Minimum (குறைந்தபட்சம்):

21 years (for all categories)

Maximum (அதிகபட்சம்):

34 (Other Category)

39 (SC, SCA, ST, MBC, DNC, BC, BCM & DW)

For Differently Abled – 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed

GROUP 2 & GROUP 2A:

Minimum (குறைந்தபட்சம்):

For all posts (Except Sub-Registrar Grade – II, Probation Officer in Prison Department and Social Defence Department) – 18 years (for all categories)

For Sub-Registrar Grade – II – 20 years (for all categories)

Probation Officer in Prison Department – 22 years (for all categories)

Probation Officer in Social Defence Department – 26 years (for all categories)

Maximum (அதிகபட்சம்):

For all posts (Except Probation Officer in Social Defence Department) – 32 Years (Other Category)

For Probation Officer in Social Defence Department – 42 Years (Other Category)

For SC, SCA, ST, MBC, DNC, BC, BCM & DW Categories – No Maximum Age Limit for all posts

GROUP 4:

Minimum (குறைந்தபட்சம்):

18 years (for all categories)

Maximum (அதிகபட்சம்):

Other Category – 32 years

MBC, DNC, BC, BCM – 34 Years

SC, SCA, ST, & DW – 37 Years

For the persons who are trained in Survey in ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field Surveyor and Draftsman only – 37 Years

Note 1:

“Others” [ i.e., Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs] who have put in 5 years of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible even if they are within the age limit.

Note 2:

No maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes who possess a General Educational Qualification which is higher than the Minimum General Educational Qualification (i.e. who have passed P.U.C / H.S.C / Diploma /Degree).

For Differently Abled Persons: Differently Abled Persons are eligible for age concession upto 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed above.

VAO (VILLAGE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER):

Minimum (குறைந்தபட்சம்):

21 years (for all categories)

Maximum (அதிகபட்சம்):

For Other Category – 32 Years

For SC, SCA, ST, MBC, DNC, BC, BCM & DW Categories – 42 Years
