Relaxation of Domicile Clause in ‘Thaimaaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam’:
- Scheme Overview: Launched to provide a 1-gram gold ring to newborn children born in government hospitals across Tamil Nadu.
- Revised Eligibility Guidelines: The Health and Family Welfare Department amended the rules to include newborns whose mothers were born in Tamil Nadu but moved to another state after marriage, provided the mother’s parents reside permanently in Tamil Nadu.
Paperless Registration for Family Arrangement Deeds (STAR 3.0 System):
- Under Phase II of Anywhere Registration under the STAR 3.0 System (Simplified and Transparent Administration of Registration), the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department mandated paperless registration starting November 2, 2026.
- Documents Covered: Settlement deeds, partition deeds, release deeds, and revocation of settlement deeds relating to family arrangements. Digitally executed deeds will be processed online and stored in the STAR system.
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Policy & Rooftop Solar Subsidy:
- The Energy Resources Department finalized Tamil Nadu’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Policy and dedicated portal.
- TN Rooftop Solar Subsidy Scheme: Combines Central and State subsidies (₹35,000 for 1 kW, ₹70,000 for 2 kW, and ₹1,00,000 for 3 kW) through the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) to target 1 lakh rooftop installations by March 2027.
