National Events:

GeM:

  • Union Minister of Commerce and Industry , Food and Public Distribution and Textiles , Piyush Goyal , reviewed the progress of Government e Marketplace ( GeM ). GeM , as well as timeliness in procurement and delivery were reviewed in detail.
  • More than 95 % of all the physical order deliveries since April 2022 happened on time , in cases where online fulfillment and payment was done via GeM.

 

” Smriti Van “:

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ” Smriti Van ” memorial , which celebrates the resilience shown by people during the devastating 2001 earthquake in the Kutch region of Gujarat.
  • The grand structure , which is the first such memorial in the country is spread over 470 acres on Bhujio Hill near Bhuj town. CM : Bhupendra Patel.Governor : Acharya Devvrat.

 

CAE:

  • AirAsia India becomes the first airline to use CAE’s artificial intelligence – powered training system to train the airline’s pilots. CAE is the leading provider of pilot training solutions that are based on simultaneous technology.
  • The training system adopted by AirAsia is called the CAE Rise , provides real – time data during pilot training sessions . The CAE headquarters are in Canada.

 

Nagaland:

  • North – east state , Nagaland got its second railway station after a gap of more than 119 years with the commissioning of a new facility at Shokhuvi. Dimapur Railway Station was inaugurated in 1903.
  • The Donyi Polo Express ran daily between Guwahati in Assam and Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh. The train service has now been extended till Shokhuvi. CM : Neiphiu Rio.

 

Sports Events:

Linthoi Chanambam:

  • Linthoi Chanambam became the first Indian judoka to win a medal at any age – group category of the World Championships.
  • Indian judoka Linthoi Chanambam scripted history by winning India’s first – ever medal in Judo World Championships with a gold in the Women’s 57kg category.
  • The 15 – year – old judoka outclassed Brazil’s Bianca Reis in the 57 – kg category final.
