It is a project of Adani Green Energy (TamilNadu), the renewable energy wing of the Adani Group.
About the plant:
The plant has a capacity of 648 megawatts (MW).
The plant is now one of the leading green energy producers in the world.

MERGING RAIL BUDJET WITH GENERAL BUDJET
The Union cabinet approved the proposal of Ministry of Finance to merge Railway budjet with General budjet.
This merger will helps to unified budjet which will bring affairs of railways in organized manner with general budjet.
And this is also reduced the procedural requirements.

Prime minister cleared the deal of buy 36 jets from France for operational neccessity of IAF(Indian Air Force).

It is newly developed GPS inn0vation of “ksheer scanner” will helps to check the adulteration of the milk.
This device will helps the person track the location of sample of the milk and get result through sms.
TELECOM CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN MAINLAND WITH ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS
The Union cabinet approved the proposal of improving telecom connectivity between mainland(chennai) and Andaman&Nicobar islands.
Key factors:
Union Cabinet approved the proposal of undersea connectivity through optical fibre cable in Union Territory with chennai.
Currently satellite is the only communication link between these places.
And also satellite bandwidth cost is high and its availability is limited only.
