National Youth Festival
In order to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12, National Youth Festival is organized every year by the Department of Youth Affairs of Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in Rohtak, Haryana.
Theme of this year : “Youth for Digital India”.
The symbolic figure of the festival is “Lado”, reflect the sensitivity of the state government towards the gender inequality in the state and to bring women at par with men which both the government is committed to combat.

Silver Award for Petroleum Ministry
Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the Oil Marketing Companies like Indian Oil, HPCL and BPCL collectively received Silver Award for Excellence in Citizen Centric Services in the National Awards on e-Governance 2016-17.
The award is in recognition of the achievements of the Ministry for significant innovations in the area of e-governance and various initiatives for the LPG sector like Sahaj (online issue of new connections), online refill payment, etc.

Silver Award for Income Tax Department
For the E-filling of Income Tax returns, the Income Tax Department has been conferred the Silver Award in the National Awards on e-Governance-2016-17.
The award is in recognition of the achievements of the Department in the area of e-Governance and for significant innovations in successful e-Governance programs.
The e-filing of Income Tax returns project had already won the Silver Award in the National Awards on e-Governance in 2007-08.
